New member, second Liberty:
Heater blew moderately warm air, passenger side only. Cold on driver side.
I have the dash down and evap, box out.

1. I seem to have lost a gear behind the top actuator. I can only find 2, a black and a white. Was there 3 ? Where can I buy the third if so and is there a diagram available?
2. The bottom door, with the rubber seal strip seems to have melted in the middle, about 1/2". Should I replace that door?
3. How do I time the gears?

I found several new evap-htr-dist-boxes on Ebay. Is there a better place to buy parts ?

Thanks for your time and help! Jerry

Hi Jerry,

You’ll want a new distribution box before you put the dash back together. Put in a new heater core while you’re at it.

I’ve been through this too. See this thread:

Answers to your questions will be in there.
