So I installed (had installed) a class III hitch on my 2010 Liberty
It now impedes getting the spare tire out
Is that normal or when a factory hitch was installed at the factory did it still impede removing the spare
Thanks

What was the brand and part number?
Sounds like you got the wrong hitch?
No hitch should impede spare tire access.
Your spare tire is not "oversize" is it?

No matter the brand, it has to have the bend in it toward the rear of the vehicle to allow for non-interference of the spare tire.

That's the problem, it's a MULTI-Fit hitch and is not designed specifically for your vehicle.
It will work, but there are issues.

Reese Towpower 37042 Multi-Fit Trailer Hitch
The REESE Towpower class III multi-fit towing hitch is designed to fit popular sport utility vehicles, vans, light pickup trucks, and passenger cars.

You have two options, purchase the correct hitch designed specifically for your vehicle and sell the Reese, or find a good welding shop and let them modify what you have already installed.
