Hello All,

I have a 2.5 RC lift kit w/a JBA spacer plate coupled with the JBA UCA and OME 2927 front springs. My issue is when I'm driving and I hit rough roads, the inside of the JBA UCA makes contact with the springs(banging/knocking). I am at a loss on how to remedy that. Any suggestions?

You're running 2.5" of RC spacer + .5-.75" of JBA spacer + 2.5" of OME spring lift for a combined 5.5 - 6" of lift?

That's not going to work, only solution is to remove the RC Spacer and run just OME and JBA Spacer. It is not feasible to run 5.5-6" of lift on the front, and you will be destroying steering racks and cv axles in short order if you don't remove it

Newbie,

Thanks for the quick response, I really appreciate it....looks like I have a date with my Libby in the morning. I will remove the RC 2.5 lifted strut mount and put the stock mount(s) back on with the JBA strut mount spacers and see where the jeep sits. Thanks again.

^^^ Wise move.

The stock unsagged height of the 08 Liberty was 18” from the center of the front wheel to the bottom of the fender and 19” in the rear. If you can get it to about 2.5 to 3” over that, your ride will be so much better and your CV’s will be able to handle the angle. Even 3.5” is ok, since you have JBA UCA’s.

I’m running at about 3.5 to 3.75” of lift these days with an older JBA 4” adjust a strut kit with JBA UCA’s. I do have some unwanted traction control engagement when turning slow 90º corners, but otherwise it rides great. I’ve only had to replace one CV in more than 120,000 lifted miles.

3.5” lift with 245/75R16’s
