I found out that the plastic mouldings that cover the rocker panels are a very good storage for mud and humidity...

Therefore my rocker panels got all rotten, luckily the structure behind them were "fine", already three week in the paint shop.

I gave some thoughts on how to resolve it, and sent to fabricate two all metal rocker panels based on the shape of the plastic mouldings; therefore; no more plastic....

Here some pictures ( left side is already in Primer coat, all inside structure with heavy antirust paint, etc, work still in progress...

We are going to use just the tips of the mouldings to add continuity to the shape of the car.

Mine fell off from previous owners and then me offroading a lot, so I removed them, only a few tabs were even left on the plastic to even hold them on. Im wanting to get rocksliders anyway so Id have to remove them anyway.
Make sure you spray rust treatment and paint inside the metal pieces you put on to prevent rust through. They do look good though
