Getting complete vehicle with bad engine. Its an 07 4x4 manual trans for $400. I have an 09 KK with the 42re automatic which works fine but hate automatics. Im wanting to swap the 6 speed into my 09. Since the nitro is complete Ill have everything I need thankfully. My question is will the 09 auto trans part time transfer case bolt on to the 6 speed, as far as bolt pattern and input shaft compatibility? I know the electronics part will be different which Ill deal with. Id just use a clutch interlock switch wired into the nuetral safety switch in the 09.

I have done a search but havent found a definitive answer

Talking CRD, the export KJ came out with a 6-speed manual option, I have one. It has the same transfer case as the auto KJ with part time 4X4 etc. If the Nitro has the same manual 6 speed as the export KJ, you should be right. I dont know if the front & back drive shafts will be exactly the same length as they are not when comparing the manual & auto KJ.

Its a six speed mercedes trans I believe, same as the 08 kk. Im sure its the same transmission. Sounds hopeful then. My 09 is a 3.7 gas, same as the Nitro. Even if they are different lengths its covered since ill have the ones for the nitro, same body as the kk
