| Post subject: | 2012 Liberty: need help with transfer case, axle and fluids |
I have a 2012 Jeep Liberty Sport 4-Wheel Drive with the specifications listed below. I’d like to know how I determine what transfer case number I actually have (four are listed from research but only two would apply). I also need to know the correct correct gear oil required for ‘normal’ driving use for both front and rear axles. The owner’s manual indicates using a conventional, non-synthetic gear oil but I find differing info online, so I’m totally confused. I want to do the correct fluid change and not have issues down the road. Thank-you in advance for any information! Richard 3.7L V6 ENGINE 4-SPD.
