I have a 2012 JEEP LIBERTY SPORT 4X4 with the following: COMMAND TRAC II - PART TIME 4WD DANA 30/186MM FRONT AXLE FOUR WHEEL DRIVE (4WD) (4X4) 3.73 REAR AXLE RATIO CORPORATE 8.25 REAR AXLE CONVENTIONAL DIFFERENTIAL REAR AXLE 4-SPD. AUTOMATIC VLP 42RLE TRANS With approximately 98k miles, I’d like to change out the front axle fluid and would like to verify this would be the correct choice: Valvoline Daily Protection Gear Oil / API Service GL-5 / 80W-90 FRONT AXLE / SAE 80W-90 Multi-Purpose Type, GL-5 Gear Lubricant or equivalent. REAR AXLE / SAE 75W-90 Gear Lubricant or equivalent. Thank-you! |

It will be fine. For my application in my KJ, I mix the two in a 60/40 ratio to get the best of both dino fluid and synthetic. As long as GL-5 your good to go. |
