Post subject:  Rear glass finger print fix
Not a big deal for some but I thought what the heck and will post this..

Dust and finger prints don't mix too well and every time I needed to close the rear hatch glass it looks like heck from touching it. Ours is a Sport and I saw a Limited that had a pad to push the glass shut.

A phone call turned up part #55360709AA complete with double back sticky pad for $8.00

Saw a how-to for that way back when I first got my KJ over on KJ Country (www.jeepkj.com). Went down to the local dealer and picked one up. I didm't mark the window prior to placing it, just eyeballed it and got lucky 8) It is definitely nicer than the fingerprints mixing with fine trail dust and making every forensics detective drool :P

I saw a Lib that had one of these on the back window. But I was thinking, you could always put a cool sticker (like a K&N sticker) in the same spot, maybe it would have the same effect?

i put one on my 02. it was like 1/16" off to one side, i was like ahh no!!! haha :)

I think in 04 Jeep got smart and started putting them on, I know mine came with one

My '06 Renegade came with it. I love the fact that it also gives a target to get the glass to shut on the first shot.

Now, if only I could get the kids to use it when shutting the glass.
