So, can someone recommend a good way to get diesel soot off the painted bumper of my CRD Limited? I tried 409 and some bug/tar removed and both just seemed to annoy the stain. I don't want to damage the paint with anything TOO harsh, though. Dan |

Dan Use a claybar. Theres a Mothers kit you can buy from Pepboys/Kragen/Autozone for under 20 bucks. Includes the claybar, lubricant spray, and cleaner wax. If the claybar doesnt take it out, then...... Well it should take it out. (if not have it painted again and put the 3m protective film over the area for the future) |

Just use any good quality cleaner wax, coms right off, it happens to me too. |

Indeed. Maguire's worked well. Thanks for the advice. Now for the inside of the bumper that coated my fingers in soot while I was cleaning the outside... |
