Go out and create more so it looks like they were made that way
Are you talking about scuffs and scratches or something that changed the color of the flare?

Think that it was the diesel that caused it - almost seems as if the plastic is peeling. If I knew how to post a pic I would.

Well, that would be a major bummer - I take it you have the painted fenders. I bought a product from Maguiers called Back to Black. Worked like a charm. All scratches out, and conditions any fading that has occured. Easy to apply and take off. Check it out. |

I used to own a 91 Honda CRX and a genius figured out that you can use a heat-gun to "melt" the plastic to bring back the deepness in the colour, but don't do it for too long or it will lose it's shape. -Mark |

What do you have? Diesel fuel residue on the "Sport" model flairs? I use a very strong degreaser (garage floor degreaser). Be careful with strong degreaser as it can remove wax and do strange stuff to the paint. After cleaned, coat the flairs with some sealer (Armorall, etc...) to prevent new discoloration. |

I just finished detailing my car with it so I think I'd remember...Just posting so the other guy with the cancerous flares has an easier time finding the product. I really can't tell you what to do about your peeling, since I haven't seen the problem. Once you get a picture up I'll make my reccomendation. Try Photobucket.com for image hosting. |

The problem with back to black is that it washes right off - so the next time it rains, your spots or scuff marks reappear... You'll need to find a more permanent solution to your problem or buy a whole stock load of that particular product. |
