Okay I understand that a dirty kj is a happy kj but you can't underestimate the "a clean kj w/ 3700 miles and no custom pinstriping (yet) is a happy kj owner"

I'm totally happy with all the scratches I've done to mine. It's character.

Not me, I wax the hell out of my vehicles. Nothing like a shiney KJ on the trails. Atleast then, the H2's will be able to see me comming to rescue them. That and the dirt will wash off easier and my paint will last longer.

X2!

Ohh and JJ, how on earth do I explain all the mud plastered to my Jeep when I'm taking important clients out for lunch? Doesn't look too good when I take the big cheese out to a fancy restaurant in a muddy jeep (atleast not from their viewpoint...lol)

Personally I wax my KJ every three months to keep the paint nice and smooth but that dosen't count the scratches.

Happiness is a battle scared yet nice and shiney Jeep :D . It shows that you take care of her even if it is "hard love"

I tink an off-road business trip with the boss would be more productive.

LOL if only I could do that I would have the PERFECT job. Too bad the boss man is too stuck up. Loves riding around in his Chrysler 300 every time he comes to America. Only reason why I get to take them out is cause it's part of my Job and I'm the only one with a vehicle big enough to handle 5 people at once...lol.

Thats part of the problem! He needs to be treated to some good down home hospitality and a off road fun package.

You might want to get a sign, sticker or whatever with "It's a Jeep Thing, you wouldn't understand" on your dashboard?!

FWIW, although I too enjoy a dirty Jeep, I have to admit, I get a lot of looks when the KJ's sparklin'!!

I agree! The majority of the ones around here are soccer mom driven, covered in bugs, tar and other road grime, and the wheels match the color of the tires....lol

Never tried that. I'll ask around. I do know that Autoglym Glass Polish works wonders. I use it and I sometimes forget that theres a windshield in front of me.

I bought Bright Silver Metalic for it's ability to look decent even when it's dirty, but mud is still mud and looks the same on any colour. When I do get a chance to clean it , it looks great!

If theres enough interest, I might have a little GTG and give a class on detailing. I'm no expert, it's a hobby for me. However, I have people all the time wanting to pay me good $$ to detail their vehicles. Kind of a side job for me. I have a nice size garage to detail in. Plus, bonfire pit, some beer, dogs, ect....... I can detail drunk pretty good too.
