I need a new camera :(.

Good Afternoon gents :waxing: ,

Day 1: 7:30 PM - 8:45 PM
Day 2: 8:00 AM - 2:45 PM

Price:$269.00

Customer, a member of autopia, dropped the SUV off Friday night. I gave it a quick foam and wash under the halogens while the sun was setting and finished the car the next morning. I have no before pictures but, the owner says he hasn't touched it since he's owned the car. Overall the paint was in good condition pertaining to swirling, but marring and contaminants were high.

Exterior process:

Foam w/ crystal wash and sheepskin mitt.
Simple green 8:1 on wheels and wells.
Clay w/ QD lube.
OC on a lc orange pad.
OP on a lc white pad.
Opti-seal.
Natty's Blue on a lc black pad.
Wheel wells and underbody plastics with Armorall.
Trim with ETD.
Extreme shine on tires.

Interior process:

Vacuum.
Interior wipe down w/ 8:1 woolite mix.
Interior dash dressed w/ nxt vinyl protectant.
Leather conditioned with Gold Class.
Steam cleaned matts and 'special spots'.
Windows with Invisible Glass and newspaper.
Chrome polish on tips.

Befores:

This is where I stepped my game up. I wasn't happy with the way the jambs looked on the rear hatch. They were filled up with a thick black stuck on material. I took a special solution and small detailing brush and cleaned the areas and hinges There was some remnants from this sitting for years, which was expected. Doing this took and extra hour but the customer was impressed :woot:.

Donnie: you need to post a list of all the stuff you use, what it's used for and what in the world all those abbreviations mean. You do fantastic work!

Terry

PS: that would make a good sticky.

Sure thing!

LSP - Last step product, usually a wax of some sort.
OC - Optimum Compound
Clay w/ QD lube - QD is just Quik Detailer, it's provides lubrication for the clay so it doesn't damage the paint :).
OP - Optimum Polish
OS - Optimum Sealant
ETD- Exterior Trim Detailer by Meguiars, great stuff.

LC - Lake Country buffing pad
The different colors have different cutting ablities. In order of highest to lowest cut: Yellow, Orange, White, Black.

I'm going to be doing a 08 Rabbit in black this weekend. I just bought a new 12 megapixel camera so I'll be sure to have some better pictures, more importantly before pictures :).
