I have an 05' Renegade, One of the wheels has some corrosion, what can I do to stop it from spreading? Can I Just grind the spot down, polish it then put new clear coat over the spot?

Same here with my '03. I'm interested to know the answer here.

I've seen many Jeeps with this problems.

The only alternative I can see is to either paint them.....possibly silver.

The factory rims are painted. I would think any body shop could repaint them if you want to go that route.

You could probably buy some touch up paint and do them yourself.

I've thought about repainting mine black since they're corroding anyway.

Yes, that's it! Corrosion on the wheels! I have the same issue.
Some of that comes from the removal of old wheel weights. It takes off that plastic coating then the corrosion starts. I haven't tried the wet sanding which was suggestions in another area.
Here is a source for wheels some say they are cheap. But it's more that I want to spend. I would just like to clean up my wheels. From what I have found so far you need to sand the area down, paint it, then pain again with clear coat to stop the corrosion. :SOMBRERO:
