So Ive built a pretty good lot of stuff up detailing me car. The only things i still need are the meguiars clay bar, and a orbital buffer. My arms get so tired after doing 3 step its not funny. Heres the collection!!
What do you all think? |

wow! I thought I had alot of detailin stuff! Might I recommend this stuff I put a good coat on a couple of weeks ago and i'm amazed at the shine it brought back in my 2 y.o. Jeep. Never really bought into the whole Meguiars thing, but i'm sure sold on their wax. Was a pain to put on and take off, put all paste waxes are like that, and it was worth it seeing the shine. I've also tried their quick detailing wax (the spray on wipe off kind), and for a quick application inbetween waxes, it works pretty good. |

Wow, never seen someone take a picture of their cleaning supplies. I use Meguirs wash, but prefer Zymol for the wax. Does a better job IMO. |

I did this about a week ago. I think it still looks great. It snowed alittle yesterday so its got some spots on it, cant tell from the pics. I did 3 step on the front section(hood, fenders and bumper), and on the roof. I just didnt feel like doing the rest. Ill do the sides and back some other day, before winter if i can. May just do the quik wax, does better than you would think.

I had to install cupboards in my garage just to hold all my crap. The shelves on the right are all wax's and micro fibers. The one on the left is all interior and applicators, and my Porter Cable. I personally don't really care for Meguires waxes. Their NXT is ok, the NXT detail spray is great. I have different waxes for different cars. I have some for light/dark paints, abused paints, different polishes and sealents, and different caranubas. Some caranubas solid paste and some liqued with more polymers. Heres my KJ and a couple pics of my old truck that the KJ replaced. I started with a claybar, then polished with Klassie AIO and, Sealed with Klassie SG, then topped with Pinnacle Liqued Souveran Caranuba. |

PPG Aquapel works better than Rain-X, though if only I could find someone else that carries it other than Tirerack.com I've tried Kragen and Autozone, and the last stop is Pepboys and Napa Auto Parts, though I doubt I will get lucky. |

Wow. That is alot of cleaning supplies. My tactic is that I wash it with the Rain-X car wash with carnuba beads. Then I use the wax as u dry and then follow it with a coat of Zymol. I've been doing that about every other week lately. It makes the paint smooth as glass. I'll use Mr.Clean autodry occasionally if I'm busy, but can't stand the Jeep being dirty. |

Actually, I've always taken this good of care of my vehicle. I figure that it is such a big investment and I spend so much time in it that it won't hurt to take good care of it. othing makes me happier than going out to the garage and seeing the paint that I spent so long waxing looking like glass and reflecting everything around it. |

I saw you got the mothers clay bar. Good stuff. I like the meguair's clay bar that comes in a tub. There have two different levels of clay, red and a blue. I have only used the blue as the other was a more aggressive type and dont quite need that yet. Looks good. I have a 30+ gallon rubbermaid tub that I keep all my cleaning stuff in, except for the DA buffer. It has its own special box |

I hate to admit it but with this rum & coke buzz going WTH. I spent several hours this weekend claying my vehicles. WOW! It is amazing how much crap comes off a well washed vehicle by using clay. The difffernce from one side using clay to other not using it is amazing. I will be waxing these vehicles soon too which is a rarity around my house. I am sold on clay for sure and now I will be looking into other brands. I used the clay magic brand as thgat is all they had where I shopped. Anyhow, that is all i have to say abotu that. don't expect many postings of car washing/detailing from me in the future as it will still be rare on my jeeps. |
