How do you remove water spots from your paint? I use whink on windows but would never do it on paint since its an acid base.

any ideas? some kind of clay bar or compound?

for the bad water spots from like lime deposits and what not, i've always used a non abrasive scratch remover or one of those microabrasive removers

back in the day there was this stuff called SafeCut, and it wasn't the Kit safecut crap either, it may have been a turtle wax product, i honestly don't remember, anyway.. none of the clearcoat safe"cuts" that are out now come anywhere friggin close to it, that stuff was absolute gold in a bottle and they quit makin it, i've tried everything that they got out so far since and nothings came close

I've pretty much bucked down to using kitt scratch out for water spots, meguires x25 for fixing scratches, it's got a very fine abrasive in it and i use meguires 2.0 wax or Ice, i've actually really started liking that Ice stuff, get it on the black plastic or rubber and it doesn't turn white, it actually makes it blacker.. /boggle

i've noticed that my jeep gets spots from humidity i think haha, the half of it that has ice wax on it doesn't spot as bad as the meguires

and yes half of my jeep is waxed in ice, half is in the v2.0 meguires

i'm weird
