First I notice someone slightly swiped my rear bumper, passenger side, it was thin but slightly deep line, I said OK, I can probably cover it up later.
A week later, the other side! Some other a-hole swiped the other side getting out of parking space when I was at the parking lot... And most recently, someone simply keyed my hood, it is disgusting, nauseating and sickening.

Wow! I think a free-for-all on anyone that intentionally damages another person's property. The key scratching is pathetic.

Hyed, sorry to see that this happened to you. People that do those things infuriate me. I do believe that what goes around comes around so I am sure they will get theirs someday.

That sucks big time!

I can't believe somebody had the gall to strike your Libby in a parking lot and not leave you a note. About the only thing you can do about it is to park away from everybody else. With luck you might be able to find a replacement bumper from a collision yard.

As for the keying, that sounds like and angry ex-girlfriend/wife.

I don't have either.

I got a quote of $400 from Maaco, he said he would do the whole thing and he would also buff front bumper too since it looks a bit discolored.
He doesn't do any polish, etc, though. He said he would touch up all other small scratches on doors as well.

I don't know but it sounded OK, I got a quote of $1000 from another local shop who claimed to be "best" and does everything instead of just areal paints.. I don't know what to do.

I'll tell you one thing...stay away from Carsmetics!!!!

On my Durango, I had them paint a fender, and it's orange peeled on the edges.

And I had them paint the tailgate, and the badges were is the wrong spots, AND to top it off they got over spray on the hitch. Never again.

I don't know about Carsmetics. He told me about the badges on the hood, he said there would be tiny difference around it, so I told him I am fine if he removes the badges and blends it evenly..I can get a badge anytime and stick it, or no badge at all, no problem.

Sorry to see that happen. Usually I end up parking so far away from everything to try and avoid that. Saw a keying incident once and chased said @** to a house - called the local PD and waited for them to arrive and extract the jerk. I had a special idea for the twirp, but the PD thought little of it. :x

Why would anyone ever key somebodys car. That is absolutely awful. I am sorry to see that! I would stay away from Maaco too. They've left bubbles on 2 of 2 cars I know that have been there.

Hi guys, it's a 2-year old topic, and I did get it repainted at maaco, it was cheap and fast, and it looked excellent when it was done. Almost two years passed (and I cannot believe that his was back in 2009...) and I can see a slight difference in paint but that was probably there back then if they did not use daimler paint, so it was a very close match, only when I shine my 3D maglite on it. They also did bumper, they painted it like crap because when I mowed that toyota's trunk backing into each other, I noticed that paint just chipped away, then I took it to my old dealer's painter, who happened to be a great guy..

Anyway, unless you try you never know, and in a place like NYC half the shops are crooks, so I am lucky that there are no bubbles or anything, plus it is the hood, I can always get it repainted and I am sure this new guy I found in long island won't charge me much.. (he is actually dealer's body shop!)
