| Post subject: | My mom's cars - swirl marks |
I'm planning on washing, claying, and waxing my mom's CTS and Solstice for her. Her CTS is black and the solstice is white. The CTS has been washed at one of those spinning brush auto's and its got a fair amount of swirl marks. Not completely one big swirl like her sunbird was after 10 years of the same carwash, but its starting to become more noticable. What can I do to get those out? I do all my work by hand, can I remove them without a buffer? A brief how to on removing those marks would be much appreciated. |

You can try working them out a little at a time with Meguiar's SwirlX or Meguiar's Ultimate Compound. It is going to take a good long while though and it isn't going to be as good as if you polished it with a machine but it will make it look better. Here are a couple of helpful links... http://meguiarsonline.com/forums/showthread.php?t=7011&highlight=swirls+hand http://meguiarsonline.com/forums/showthread.php?t=30910&highlight=swirls+hand Both of those are generally available at most automotive stores and places like Walmart. |
