Back when I made the covers for my light bar, i used decals from don (pixeldecals) and used the only clear coat i could get my hands on at the time.. that or.. what i just had layin around.. i don't remember. I think it was clear coat for plastic model cars and crap. Probably testor.

Anyway, it's starting to peel and flake off on the top edges of the covers, kind of like a sun burn skin peeling. I'm thinking it's just sun damage

What's a good clear coat for plastics avail. in rattle can?

I'm gonna sand them down around the circular face of the cover and hope with a few coats of clear coat the centers won't peel

plus i have a 2nd set of covers to do up as well with a 2nd set of different decals for use with a later scheme for the vehicle

'preciate it!

Bulldog Adhesion Promoter would be a good choice for this. It sticks to anything and it makes a good clear. It comes in a can (that doesn't rattle) and you can purchase it at Walmart.

I get all my rattle can supplies from Paintscratch.com. They have an adhesion promoter that you spray on first, before primer or paint. You can get the "flex" in with the paint. So, get the clearcoat with flex added for flexible surfaces.
