How do you guys/girls like using the Mothers Powerball? I've been looking to buy one for the past 3 years, but I always seem to change my mind. They aren't cheap and I hate spending money on something that doesn't work very well or that wears out easily. So what do you guys/girls think? Image

I have the mini power ball and love it for my rims. If you have something like rims that needs polishing then it works out awesome.

I was the same as you, been on the fence for a couple years. Finally got one and it made a world of difference and so much less work. I used it along with some liquid Mother's "machine" aluminum polish, made quick work.
Wheels hadn't been touched in a year, went through last winter. ( I did have to sand the center holes, then ran ball inside them for final polishing)
The ball turns black, but I flipped over the center shaft and even used it to polish my composite headlights.

Yeah you're probably right..... GM is too high scale for those rims, I guess I down graded....would probably look good on a Liberty then..... :goink: :goink: :goink: :ROTFL:

Thanks for the real-world report. Once the ball turns black, is it washable or still usable?

Doesn't say on pckage anywhere other than you can remove center pin attachment and turn it around to use the other side of the ball. Mine is pretty black, I just use my hand to get any "dust" out of it and use again. I'll probably keep the one side clean just to use on composite lights....that is a good question though. Maybe able to hand wash, it's just foam.

I have been wondering if that Mothers PowerBall Mini was worth getting. I found it on the AMSOIL site. The rims on my Jeep Liberty Limited CRD are oxidizing especially where they took off the old wheel weights. I've tried some of that Mothers Mag & Aluminum polish which helped. Maybe the Mini PowerBall would do a better job.
"Tahoe" those rims sure look nice no matter what you put them on! 8)

Been using the yellow Power Ball that is safe for paint since last year. It seems to last awhile.

With my 18V Makita cordless drill it works well, but not as great as a dedicated polisher, and the drill is much heavier.

I'm gonna try it on my headlights with PlasticX as my polisher is too bulky for it. It does work really well around windows/door frames and smaller areas that a big 10" buffer gets stuck in.
