I was bored this morning and was inspired by Hoosier Jeeper to clean my veryyyy dirty engine bay. I use a mixture a H20 and Purple Power Industrial Strength Cleaner/Degreaser. It does wonders. Take a look!

Cleaning the engine is all about making you feel better, man... and the mechanic that has to work on it if needed.lol It is also a good maintenance practice.

BTW, I have that same battery. :D

Go outside, pop the hood, take a look and feel better about your day. :JEEPIN:

Wow great work. I notice some people just dont realise the work involved or appreciate a clean engine. drives me crazy. It will outlast theirs. I also find that it helps with preventing mechanics from taking shortcuts cause they think you wont notice. if your engine is clean they know that you have an idea of whats going on in there.

I very much appreciate a clean engine
When I went to pick up my used kk at the dealership I popped the hood and almost fell over because they did a nicer job detailing the engine then they did on the rest of the car, i just had to post a picture!

Wasn't that clean when I installed the lift..... :goink: :goink: :goink: :ROTFL: :ROTFL:

I do my three at least once a year. Makes it nice to work on and if a leak does pop up, it makes it easier to see where it's coming from. nice job.
I normally spray everything down with purple cleaner, let it sit for 5 mins or so, then hose it all off. Just don't get it on any painted surfaces like fenders, it will dull them pretty quick. I usually wet fenders down with hose first just in case of overspray.
