Very interesting. I know that sometimes when I look at a Dodge Durango next to my Liberty they seem very similar in size. It is amazing how little it takes in length and height to move up a whole class.

I saw a TV news broadcast, I think from Detroit, early last week. They had heavy rains a lot of motorists got stranded. One scene showed a couple being "rescued" from thier Patriot with water up to, oh maybe the sill. What's with that, fear? Not a very good Jeep ad.

Probably fear. I got stuck a few months ago behind a soccer mommie in her Liberty. She was forced to drive through a long contruction zone where the road was torn up, just dirt and gravel. She slowed down to 2mph for the whole way, slamming on the brake whenever she crossed a pebble (probably crying about something). Of course, she just had to be in a Liberty.

That is a neat comparison.
My wife has a Caliber. Next to my Liberty hers "looks" wider and longer but
my Liberty "feels" like it has more interior space.
I guess they are both about equal. Although mine is taller.
