Travis, I’m looking to buy a Commander sometime this summer. I can’t believe how cheap they are used.
How do you think the 4.7 compares to the 5.7 Hemi? I will be towing a lightweight camper that is about 5,000 lbs loaded.

The wife got an 06 commander 4x4 4.7 to haul more peeps than my CRD Libby does. It drives awesome. It is really nice in the rain. The fulltime 4x4 sucks the gas tho. She averages 13.6 MPG. I just installed an AFE magnum stage 2 intake with their pro dry non-oiled filter before taking a trip this weekendileage jumped to 17.2MPG. There is a little more jump in acceleration, and you can hear the engine roar when it downshifts now. The intake was worth every penny. Travis |

Yeah they are coming down price, i just traded my kj in and got one for the fam, so much more room. gas mileage does suck but from this post im going to buy the afe intake now. i gave 10,944 out the door for mine its a limited and has everything i want, im the second owner and its mint. lil more mileage than i wanted but thats alright. |
