My 4.7 in my 06 commander was getting a steady 19.6 mpg at 60 MPH (Reseting the factory fuel mileage guage) with stock intake and filter. I replaced my air filter with a K&N and also removed the deflector from behind the grill I thought was preventing a ram air affect. After doing this the same test at 60 MPH was 24.6 mpg. Anybody else try this?

I bought an 06 Commander with the 4.7 three weeks ago, only had 33k miles. On the first trip we took, 386 miles I averaged 19.5 on the hwy.
In the city I am averaging 11.6mpg.

Everything is stock at this point.

You need to hand calculate that. Opening up your air intake will net you .5 - 1 mpg increase.
