Chris, when you get to my age and the kids are married and someone else's responsibility, and your house is paid for, you too will be able to spend a bit more on your hobby.

The first time I bought a new car, or even one that was less than 7 years old, I was 54. Count your blessings with what you have at your age.

That's good advice my friend :D

EDIT: Thinking more on this Chris... you hit the nail on the head. I think that sometimes you (me/we) as people tend to get carried away with things and the rest. I know I do... I'm a dreamer when it comes to my KJ :D

Not to be a downer guys and i'm sure you have all been told this before.......but please be careful with High-lift jacks my best mate was killed using one incorrectly....his own stupid fault mind you..... but all the same they are designed to be used on specific lifting points such as those demonstrated by cmohr above or some aftermarket bullbars.... so if your car doesn't have them the don't get one!!!

Yes, thats sad but true...

Hi-lift jacks are solely intended for Recovery purposes only, not to take the place of your existing jack. I certainly would not recommend using one for changing tyres unless it truely was warrented. The wheel attachment is a safe way to use a hi-lift to recover a vehicle by locking the jack to the wheel.

I have the ARB front bar, it has Three Hi-lift jack rated mounting points for the Hi'lift to work on. And I am getting the rocksliders which also can be used with a hi-lift.

I have heard people say they have lifted the rear of their vehicle by putting the Hi-lift in the reciever hitch!!!!! this is a definate NO NO...its made for pulling not lifting.
