i am going to have to do something different with mine

Speaking of air Filters.... I decided to try out one of those new fangled snorkel sock that CPC & Fouros have been wearing since Camp Coffs. ($20 + freight @4wdsystems.com.a) It arrived Friday. Still to test it but looks good. :?:

I thinks it is only precautionary statement to protect the life of the filter against flying objects at high speed :?:

It is also quite easy to remove. So if vehicle is left for sometime. you might return to find that you have a missing filter sock :shock:

Yep, you can use them on dusty outback roads. everyman and his dog that had a snorkel had a pre-filter on it when I was down in SA on Oodnadatta track, Strezlekie and the like. But, yes, will not last as long.. and will slightly obstruct air flow.

I'll be getting one.
