If the tracks are no worst than the track between Wreck Beach (Deep waterNP) to Agnes Waters, Millie should be able get through OK. Otherwise we would have to base ourselves somewhere that would be suitable & close to the action (preferablely quite & scenic)

No caravans along Kings Bore Track.. Freshwater camp ground should actually be easy access nowdays as they did extensive work on the 4x4 track that almost turned it into a gravel (but of course we need to confirm that. Other than that, theres Rainbow (long way up, but maybe go that way we went to Fraser) or there is a camping/caravan park there at the pub just as you cross over on the bardge at Twantin. Not sure about vans on the beach, seen them, but you would have to access it only at low tide so theres nice hard sand to drive on.

So we (Jenni) have made contact with the National Park and yes Freshwater is accessable for Millie. So we will head up Friday after work and bush camp around Kin Kin and then head into Freshwater campgrounds Saturday morning and overnite returning home Sunday PM.

We will book Saturday nite accom. Anyone else need us to book for them as well??????????

Have booked camp sites at freshwater CG on sat. 7th March:

1. Pipeliner
2. 2Jeepfamily
3. Cmohr
4. Fros
5. J.a.G

As J.a.G is travelling up on the Friday Nite and therefore accessing Freshwater by way of Kin Kin and the Cooloola Way. Those who are travelling up on the Saturday from the South could meet at an agreed location (Northgate Service centre M1?)and travel up to Cooroy, Tewantin then onwards via the beach and meet J.a.G (and 2 Jeepfamily?) at Freshwater CG.

Dont ask, something went wrong with my keyboard on Lost, and all I got, no matter what key I pressed all that came up on screen was a "b" then "a" whilst pressing the same key. ?????? weird!!!

Rightyo.

Thinking those leaving Brissy Saturday morning, meet at the Shell Nudgee around 7bells, or meet at the twin BP's up the highway near 7 and 1 half bells, From there we head up to Twantin, cross the ferry and head up alos the beach all the way to Freshwater, where those staying o'nite can drop off camping gear, and we meet up with Team JaG and 2 Jeeps. From there we can head further up the beach, cross the leisa track onto Rainbow, drive up and around the rocks to Rainbow itslf (if the tide permits) then we head out of Rainbow to find the Eastern Fire trail, and drive that in behind all the beach ( shouldmake for interesting and senic drive. That then leads down a oneway back onto the beach about half way along Double Island some time in th eafternoon. There those heading home can head down the beach cross back over the ferry at Twantin and your on your way home. Those staying onite, head back up the beach to freshwater camp for the night.

Its a simple plan completely open to change, but at least a starting point.

So whos coming /meeting and where do you what to meet.Shell or BP. Is the time good for all??

cmohr

Argh darn work obligations means I will be missing out once again. Besides the worn Nankang Highway Sports tyres that require a trip to the tip in replacement for something different would only have seen me slipping and digging holes in the sand, but rest assured it is on the agenda of things to be fixed in the very near future. Ps couldsomeone get me CRDSTU's email address so I can order my lift kit after all the wife knows the new rubber won't fit without it and every thing aroundthe house is justabout taken care of so upgrade time it has become. I will see you all at the next run hopefully.
