Aye lads, t'was a fun day out for sure aahrrr.

Still haven't had a chance to clean mine off yet, didn't get home till late last night. Kj is sitting in the carpark at work, with a little rain softening the mud, its all just falling off it onto the carpark, looks like someone has put piles of dirt around the car.

Just after you guys left, Cath and I went out behind the homestead ...........on some tracks there, they were great fun, it's a pity we didn't get to go on them as well, a couple of real nice climbs.
The picture of that hill climb don't really do it justice, it was bloody steep, I can tell you!!!, and when the ca started sliding backwards that was it, it was going backwards. Must do something about diff's me thinks, 4.10's with truetracs or something??? Sjhould have taken off the swaybar, I reackon I would have made that climb if I could have just had a little more traction, once a corner of the car lifted that was it, NO going forward.

Mikey, great to meet you, you gave that hill a good bash as well, we'll have to head out again soon lads :D :D Keep up the momentum this year, and get a few more folks along for the ride. Do a few o'niters as well, that way we're all there ready to go nice and early.

Guys remember to bring all your pics to Pipeliners next week end, I want a copy. I didn't get many pics myself, can't focus the camera, and steer at the same time

Just driving down some of our roads you need them, especially with all the flooding going on here at the moment, I drove back home thru the Boarder ranges between Qld and NSW to come home, man, the flood levels you could see were terrible, You could see most of the creeks must have risen about 7-8 metres (1 metre is 3 feet) and washed way some bridges, one of the roads I was going to come back on was closed due to the bridge being gone.

Gold Coast Jeepers travelled down to "Clarence River Wilderness Lodge" about 1hr Sth of Urbenville on Paddys' Falr Rd.
A pretty place, recently experiencing the flooding devistation of recent rains. Blue skys and sun most of the week-end with an occassional cloud drizzle.

Roll up was good, although only 2 KJ's, 10 in total. Arrived in two convoys, Mid Friday arvo & and 10pm friday nite..... all departing lunch time Monday.

The week-end activities consisted of a couple of runs up the mountain tracks over loking the gorges & river banks, swimming, canoeing, camp side cooking & meeting new Jeepers on site and generally having a relaxing Australia Day (complete with Lamingtons & Flags etc)

I don't any pics at the moment but will post some when I get hold of some one camera. I'm sure they will be posted on www.goldcoastjeepers.com photos & trip report site shortly.

Sorry I missed the KJ run, but look forward to the next one.
