In Schrödinger's (theoretical) Quantum Theory of Superposition experiment: We place a living cat into a steel chamber, along with a device containing a vial of hydrocyanic acid. There is, in the chamber, a very small amount of a radioactive substance. If even a single atom of the substance decays during the test period, a relay mechanism will trip a hammer, which will, in turn, break the vial and kill the cat. The observer cannot know whether or not an atom of the substance has decayed, and consequently, cannot know whether the vial has been broken, the hydrocyanic acid released, and the cat killed. Since we cannot know, the cat is both dead and alive according to quantum law, in a superposition of states. It is only when we break open the box and learn the condition of the cat that the superposition is lost, and the cat becomes one or the other (dead or alive). This situation is sometimes called quantum indeterminacy or the observer's paradox : the observation or measurement itself affects an outcome, so that the outcome as such does not exist unless the measurement is made. (That is, there is no single outcome unless it is observed.)

Yes, Of course, If a tree falls in a forest and nobody is there to hear it, the cat is alive, but, If its the third Tuesday of the Month, and that month has a J in it, quamtum theory accepts the rational, that the supposition of life and death is at once and both the same thing. I went to my bro's place with the family on Sat... had a few beers. Then onto the olds place.. few more beers.. then home. Don't worry I didn't drive

. Swam at the outlaws yesterday then did some stuff around the house followed by a nice glass of white (thanks to the outlaws :wink:

Had a great weekend.
Watched my youngest play cricket on Saturday. Then checked out the camper trailer I'm hiring for my trip to the Kimberly. Mowed the lawns saturday arvo.
Spent Sunday morning on the beach whith both my sons doing Surf Lifesaving stuff, then mooched around the pool.

Saw a few nice old Willy's Jeeps, One day I'll get one, love those old things.

lol, the printing industry is reknown for imbosiles..

Kings Bore Rd just runs behind Rainbow Beach/ Double Island. Its short, but, as a whole trip, the beaches, double Island, Rainbow, then the track and back to teh Beach again, it fills up a day nicely.. Might even think of an overnighter at Fresh water camping area???
