:?

So why has LOST Downunder gone to sleep? Winter Hibernation? Everyone working hard to pay for the Red Centre Trip (I resisted the use of the term 'beavering away' as that seems to have other connotations now.

Ross where are you getting that work done? In Blackwater or going to Rocky? BTW I think my son has worked out where you live, he jogs around Blackwater on a regular basis and I gave him a description of your KJ. I am coming up to Blackwater to visit him (not sure when at this point but it will be in the next couple of months).

just about - house is there with water - both cold and hot, oven works, lots of camp fire pits, we even have a toilet that isn't a tree. My home grwon solar system goes on this weekend so even the beer will be cold. :D

Trenches are my new nightmare - everytime I organise a machine to dig it rains and they cancel, I've dug 50m, 400 x 600 deep so far by hand in the rain to try to keep to schedule. this weekend is a dry hire and even if it rains I'm diging.

So ready for the lost lot anytime :D

and here's the view of the house from the waterfall - if you sleep walk theres a bit of a drop to be carefull of

Image

the first waterhole is full all year round and the water fall into it makes a great summer shower - the local kids jump in off the cliff holding boulders and have never touched the base

Looks like the sort of country where you'd need to dig with explosives! How do you get through that rock?

That trench is not one of mine - :D but I would love to use some of that water power to dig the ones I have to now. At the moment though the water is all falling from the sky and making digging even with machines impossible ( they just sink)

Was forced to take sunday off and take my brother in law in his newly purchased KJ through the Condamine crossings - nice trip despite the rain and the fact that the river levels were definately rising.

We woke up this morning to the water level in the pic above being a little higher - about 2m or so more.

And digging in that country is a matter of making the trench go where the big rocks aren't

Hey Mikey was that you I saw blasting along Ipswich Rd at Wacol on Sunday.
I know it's been a long time since I have been that way but man has it changed
I nearly got LOST coming off the Centenary Freeway and all the changes at Wacol
look like a real headache in peak hour. Glad I can have the relaxing 16 minute drive
to work up here and still live near the beach. Brisbane just isn't as I once remembered.
It has only been 6 years since I left.
