Funny thing happened to me Sunday, (2 days since warranty expired) driving along, looked like one of my headlights was out, you know, all dark on one side of the car infront of me, I flashed the high beam, and both lights came on, and my spotties. When I changed them back down to low beam, one of the headlights went out, but, spotties stayed on. Strange I thought, pulled over, checked my spotties relay, all fine. ??? Hmm.. Started the car again, turned lights on, all Ok. Hmm... driving down the road, one stopped working again???

Right I thought, get new bulb, got new bulbs, started to change them today, found......wiring connection at bulb MELTED. Yep, engine bay fire just waiting to happen. Cleaned it up, clipped em back on, old bulbs work fine. Still, I then put in the new ones as , well, they were new after all. So watch out peoples, dirt and dust and water dont mix, and apparently are conductive.

I'll pop back to the dealers to see if anything can be done.

Wow, thats weird, cuz mine is doing the same thing. I'll even occasionally get in and turn the headlights on only to have the Hella's come on as well. I thought it was maybe something in the relay for the Hellas but I'll check the headlight connector today.

Passenger side melted, but, both sides have played up.........

corwyyn that sound like mine

Get in there, pull off the connectors and give them a good clean with some RP7 or WD-40 or some water dispersant like that and a tooth brush to clear any built up dust or dirt.

Looking at the whole design, the rubber boots on the headlights seem to me to be on the wrong side of the connectors. Surely the boot should be covering the connector as well, not just the bulb.
