Doh, I didn't read this thread 1st. Forget the other one Ed.

Where's your mates place, I was planning on getting up at 5.30 packing & ready to drive out the drive around 6.30am.

I haven't confirmed with him yet.

There the servo's 1/2 way between Hornsby & the end of the freeway?? About 1 hr from my place (Hornsby)?? that would be a good place to meet or at the servo at the end of the freeway.

Ed, have you decided where you want to meet up & what time is best. Please remember that having kids means that I will have to make stops to streatch the legs along the way.

I'm waiting on my mate to get back to me LOL.
Stops along the way is good for me too. My gf does not find the Jeep seats comfortable so stops along the way to stretch legs is good for me too.

8am Twin servos is still good for me Ed, hope we have a dry drive up there. I don't like the thought of doing 110 kph in the wet with muddies on.

Everything I see on the net say's 6.5hr from Syd. So from the servo it should be 5 or so hours, as they usually take it from the city centre.

Packed fridge, mate I still need to think what to take

Hey, make sure everyone keeps milage and fuel figure on this trip, it would be real good oppurtuinty to compare a few defferent vehicles over the same distances.
