Wisemans Ferry to Wollombi, it's a 104.7km trip but could less (make of it what we will). With a meal & a beer at the old pub in St Ablans. How does that sound for a Sat trip in the next month or so, it's layed out in the "4X4 tracks close to Syd" book. It would probably be a nice drive with good chance to sit and chat over a pub lunch.

I don't know if there is anything to have a bit of fun on along the way but you never know.

Yeah, well I've been meaning to do the drive with the family for about 2 months or more & thought perhpas a few KJ's may like a nice drive through the the area. + I've never been there & the last time I tried the river was flooded & we couldn't get over into St Albans.

Pick a date & lets see what's on, I know Karen has exams soon & the last Sat in Oct is out for me but after that it's all good. Sat or Sunday is easy for us. I sent Dave & Jenko a PM as they don't look here all that often.

OK, this is the date for the lunch & drive. Sun 28th of Oct.

Jenko is fine for that day, Dave should be but not 100%.

How do you want to do it Ed?

Start early & drive around then back for lunch at the old pub or lunch 1st then drive or... We could do the trip in reverse to the book??

I didn't PM Brian as he said to me he looks at LOST & AJOR. I will call him later in the week, Dave can't make it. He's looking after HSC stuff.

OK we shall meet outside the Wisemans Ferry pub at 9am & go from there. Lunch around 1pm or so, depending on how far we drive.

If anyone is wanting to attend that hasn't posted up just meet us there, pm me if you want my number. Other than that its just the 3 of us.

So we 3 (Jenko, Ed & I) had a great sunny drive out to St Albans today. I will do a trip report in the next day or so, then along with Ed's pics I will send it to JAA & see if they would like to add it to one of there up comming issues. Over all it was a day without any issues as you'd expect (D grade), the trip did involove a Porsche, a few horse's & a lot of closed gates. + a nice feed back at the pub for lunch.

Yeah the food was good.
Just dirt tracks with some nice sights.
We came across a porsche boxster about to venture on to the dirt roads and it was so low on oil you could hear the tappets and the idle was surging.

They thought it was the radiator so we gave them some water and then told them to go buy some oil (three cars in their convoy).

They wanted to sit on an ants nest whilst waiting... thinking it was a big rock
