Christmas Party........ or a load of BS

So today we had our work Christmas party, what a wank that was. A few snags & a cup of Coke

F-Me, sorry for the abrupt typing but what a bunch of tightass pricks. 2 years back we had the hole day off work and went on the owners yaht, 10.30am start with all the grog you wanted + prawns etc..... (all day). Last year they did an el-chepo, sit down lunch at work (1/2 a day) with lot's of grog and food (good fun had by all). This year they took those that are in the loop at work (6 staff inc owner) up the the Hunter to a resort with all there wifes / girl friends for 2 nights. Fully paid for weekend away, now they say things are tight and we cant afford to have a party. Yeah right, in the same breath I'm told were getting a new 5 col Speedmaster next March, also in march a conventional saddle stitcher and another folder (all new :roll:

).

Now you may think to your self shut up CD but think of it this way, you work hard all year and the thanks you get is 3 snags and some soft drink :evil:

. So all those hours staying back that you don't get paid for or all the early starts are for nothing.

Crap one day.........Crapper the next.

Must admit though, this Year they are actually taking us all out for Dinner and Drinks, noice and gave us all a $50.00 gift card, so much better than the sauage and beer we had on the loading dock last year.

I work in printing too.

Every year they threaten to stop having xmas parties. Don't know why. Every year they end up having it - all the smart people come, eat dinner, get thier bonus and skedaddle.

The rest of us not so smart ones end up staying till midnight, drinking too much (after the square ownder closes the open bar and goes home, and the cool owner opens it back up) and bitching for 3 hours about our crappy jobs.

I think everyone's xmas party sucks in one way or another. Ours isn't till Jan 11 this time!

Ah Yes the Printing Industry....evil evil busines we are in. :lol:

I did also get to go to the Spicers Paper Xmas party......mate... tooo much .....ended up getting home at 5.30 am after spending way too much money on casino, alcohol and strippers, then I had to go to work....all I can say is "I didn't get that much work done"
