A 11-12 hour drive will get you to our place - always a spare bed there.

Thanks Chris, I appreciate the offer. Not sure how we will do it yet, one thing I do know is that I will have to get an in car DVD for the kids.

Its an easy drive. If you make some regular stops takes the edge off stiff legs etc. I,ve done it many times and find the best time is night to early morning less traffic and kids usually sleep the whole way. You can pick us up on the Gold Coast and we can continue on to Brissy and collect more for the convoy through to Fraser. Sound Great......now I'm looking forward to it.

this is the freshest info to hand with prices for the period we will be staying,

Please be advised that a permit (currently $34.40) is required to drive a 4WD vehicle on Fraser Island.

the choice is powered unpowered or cabins when i make my booking i will give you the details and she will try and get everyone close together

Cathedral Beach Campgrounds
http://www.fraserisland.au.com/accommod ... h/info.htm
All camp sites are approx 12m x 12m.
The cost for a non-powered campsite for 2 adults will be $27.- p/night with an additional $3.- extra p/child or $7.- extra p/adult (maximum 4 adults p/site).
The cost for a powered site for two adults will be $38.- p/night with an additional $3.- extra p/child or $7.- extra p/adult (maximum 4 adults p/site).

We also have cabins available. The two bedroom non-ensuited cabin and the 3 bedroom cabin do not have bathrooms in the room, you will have to use the amenity block which does have hot and cold running water.
The cost for a two bedroom non-ensuited cabin will be $140.- p/night (sleeps up to 4 pax.)
The cost for a two bedroom ensuited cabin will be $175.- p/night (sleeps up to 4 pax.)
The cost for a three bedroom cabin will be $170.- p/night (sleeps up to 6 pax.)

I would recommend catching the Rainbow Beach barge over to Fraser Island. I have attached a link below to all of our ferries and the Rainbow beach barge will be at the bottom of that list.
http://www.fraserisland.au.com/informat ... -times.htm

If you have any additional questions or would like to make a booking, please contact me on 07 4124 0287 or send an email to mail@queenslandbookings.com.au

ferry prices are $80.00 return per vehicle with 4 people + and extra $60.00 per trailer over 7 feet long

we will take the rainbow beach barge as it is only a 10min ferry ride
