Hey Lads, just something Jeep related, You know where you can put a 100Amp/hr deep cycle battery???? Easy, just pop it under the drivers seat..

I was having a little play around with "space" in the KJ. I was going to make a new rear storage system for the boot, and incorporate a battery box into it, but, it was just taking up more space than I wanted it to, so I was looking around for somewhere else, and well, it fits under the drivers seat. Great use of space.

I then set about makeing a new storage system for the boot. So far I made a false floor, sits about 100mm up, so as I can store heaps under it, and still have almost full boot area clear. I made it so as I can still have my fridge sit on the right hand side.

I'm now going to make two modular boxes, no draws or anything, just doors, one will be a size that will leave the available space for the fridge on the right, and the 2nd will be a size the same as the fridge, so when I dont have the fridge in the car, it will fill that space. When the fridge is in the car, it will sit ontop of the 1st box.

I'll do some pics when I gets it all made and installed.

Thanks James, I made one of the removable boxes last night, will make the other today, and fit the doors and latches. Still thinking about how to lock them in place.

Funny Ebay profiteer over on AJOR with those glowplugs. Had to laugh to myself when they tried to say the ones I put put the link to on Steve White Motors ebay store were not the right ones and their where the right ones, when the ebay history for them clearly showed they had bought them two days earlier form Steve White Motors. Funny funny stuff. Never buy and sell under the same name, if your out to make money off people.

hahaha.. Funny place that ajor, now the Tj guys are not just content enough to bask other models, now its ON about putting a Rubi sticker on a Tj thats not a Rubi. And then telling those who do put a sticker on, that they are the ones feeling inadequet...and from nowhere really, I haven't seen a heap of people saying theirs is a Rubicon, just a few folks pics appearing with the stickers every now and then.

I understand the whole concept of saying you cant just put a sticker on it and it becomes a Rubi, but if you want the sticker....who really cares, unless you are trying to sell it under the guise of being something its not and demanding a higher price for it.

I have to agree mate, I just don't get the weener contest they must have, our first jeep was a TJ (we still have it) and I see they
have purpose in life (uncomfortable, money pit, etc etc etc) but is it really worth the crap they go on with, i think they all need a chill pill
and just go wheelin.

Quote from the Zazz website today.

"We can understand if you're nervous, but it's OK in life to be a little scared. Sometimes even Chuck Norris gets scared too. "

Has anyone told Cmohr that?

Looking to organise a larger meet soon - hopefully we can get Fouros out once again!

Not sure what occured with the phone drop out last night Grego, I waited for a minute or two then my phone rang, but It was work , then I waited about 5 mins, then tried to call but just got a "Out of service /range" recording. I checked my e-mails here at work this morning and nothing has come thru.

We have arrived home safe and sound, thanks to everyone for making time for us to come and visit, we had a great holiday because of it.
Well I have to fly back to Brisbane tommorrow now because I start my new job, I will be pretty busy learning the ropes and meeting my new team
mates so I will appoligise now for not being able to visit anyone. I won't be home much at all for the next month but it should settle into a pattern.
It is exciting to be going back to work particularly one that I get to travel all around Central Queensland but I will miss spending everyday with
the little fella. Bring on March, I won't have time for February to sink in.

Jas.

Congrats on the new Job.
It is always great to catch up with you,Susan & Nash. We hope that the new job does not keep you away too much from not only Susan & Nash but also your "Jeep" family.
Stay safe in your travels
