So, I was driving home last night minding my own business, listening to some cool Jazz on the radio, when suddenly the radio went dead. No power supply to it at all.....checking other power all seemed to be ok? thinking maybe just a fuse and will check it in the morning......... On arrival at home turned off the ignition and checked things again and noted, no interior cabin lights or head lights (without ignition on).......again still thinking fuse related issue. This morning everything is working again. Radio had to be reprogrammed with time setting, but otherwise normal??????Anyone got any clues what happened here??? |

It's obvious. KJ's are built in the US and only appreciate Country & Western. Play 'cool jazz' and the radio will shut down on you. |

Have not checked the connections for a few weeks. The battery is 14months old. The car alarm went off this morning at work after I unlocked it. relocking and unlocking cancelled the alarm, however the radio clock was approx 50min fast since I reset it this morning. Seems to be ok when I 've been driving it since then. |

Not being silly but I'm wondering if my KJ has an alarm, I've never heard it. How can you tell or what will make it go off. |

Greg, I'd be getting the battery check, I'm sure I've read of that exact same thing happening in the U.S. ( seen a thread here on LOST) decribing the same happenings, and it was the battery. OR It could be something completely differewnt |

My 03 Sport didn't, i too thought it might have one, but alas, no. Even with the remote key thingy. I just had an alarm put in late last year, now works through the remote key, and a little flashing led on the dash when armed. Makes a blip, blip noise now too. M. |

The Alarm thingy is part of the "Sentry Security" from (Manufacture see part 2 owners manual). Had my mechanic check the battery and codes which all proved negative. Jeep have just rang me to say there was a cross wire something happening under the seat??? ...........Dunno Answer Crushed wire under carpet of passenger seat................$57 labour thank you. |

Geez!!! Its the simplest things that stop these modern cars isn't it. A $2.00 peice of wire, and the world stops. |

A $2.00 peice of wire, and the world stops. My Question is how did it get crushed under a seat |

Rember this Thread.........Well guess what...... it's happening all over again.. Started a few weeks ago whilst driving....radio went dead no power to it Few days ago same thing. Twice today when getting into the car and after powering up I noted that the EVIC and radio were reset i.e. radio clock time @12.00 & EVIC automaticly resets in imperial measure. Therefore power has been cut to these items and restored whilst parked Any ideas |

Throw brick, or big rock threw your own window, 3. Make @$$ of yourself on youtube. |

I would think anything that happened on the weekend would effect it, other than bumping around the battery itself. |

Sorry I meant would not have affected it. Only thig I thought that may have occurred was when it was in 4Lo with the front diff NOT turning the ECU may have spat the dummy and given warnings and beeping alarms, or even put the car into limp mode. |
