You do it in an hour if you want to J.a.G, since the distance from my house is about 130km I'll take a bit longer if you don't mind!

Then Tewantin - Rainbow Beach is about 50km and Rainbow Beach to Inskip Point another 12km.

Out of interest what time does the barge set sail for the island. I ask as I had this idea that it was a 4hr drive from Brisbane to the barge.

4hr drive up the hwy from Brissy would put you somewhere between Maryborough & Bunderburg! Allow 1 hour or so to Tewantin

From, Brissie to Gympie is an hour 1.45, from gympie to Rainbow is another 45 mins, aloow half an hour in rainbow for fuel and permits and it is another 15 mins to the barge and 15mins to air down etc. It suddenly becomes a 3.30 trip at least.

or it is two hours to noosa north shore (after stopping for fuel airing down and getting across the river) a good hour up the beach, 30mins through to rainbow( we would have to go through freshwater track probably), half hour for permits/ fuel etc and then onto the barge, pretty much 4 hours.

The only thing everyone needs to be mindful of is the later we leave and the longer it takes us to get their, the less time we have on the island, doesn't worry me i have been four times before. Just throwing it out their.

Whats our plan, and are we going to get all the way to the Northern Tip of the Island. I haven't gone that far up before, and have been told it's worth it.???

Central Station, Lake Mckenzie, Lake Wabby, Eli Creek. Red Canyon, Binngih Sandblow, Waddy Point

Whats doin for the trip up? are you's going up the beach from Tewantin or tarmac to Inskip?
If you's are going up the beach then I might go down to Tewantin and drive up with you's, long way round but what the heck.

Could be good snatch practice for Pipeliner and Hutch with camper's

The prado has heaps of grunt, can't see a camper worryin it too much, i think getting on the barge i will air down to 15 psi, on the barge go back up to 22 for the run up the beach and probably 15 psi to get into the campsite. My first time with a camper as well so really looking forward to the challenge. It is all about the tyre pressure.

Site Booked, Trailer booked today, ALL GO.

All right Fros, I admit it, you have me completely baffled. Where is the Shell roadhouse in Nundah? I only know of one servo in Nundah, and that's a Caltex and certainly not a roadhouse.

Am I going mad, or are you?

Why not all meet up at our place for bacon & egg butties on the BBQ?
