I can feel a L.O.S.T KJ Perth run comming on..... Lano/Wedge. A bunch of KJ's on the dunes would make a good pic. Or at the front of my place, got plenty of room out the front for a KJ photo shoot.

Apologies, strange how you remember what things were called when you were young.

I wonder what Australia will be called in years to come.

Have fun.

Whats that other really big rock we have over here in WA, Mt Augustus I think, not sure what its native name is, Reckon Ill take a look at it around August (how appropriate, Augustus in August) this year on my way up to or back from Kunnunurra, Ord River and all that.

Might get to see that meteorite crater they found recently, just north of Mt Newman.

That's the one, just down the road from the Devils Marbles

Cmohr.... go THE ROCK  "Welcome to the Jungle" that was a funny flick.

Yep, just like there's no more:
Centre Point Tower (AMP Tower or what ever it is now)
Bruce Stadium is now Canberra Stadium
SFS is bloody Aussie Fing something
Sydney Harbour Bridge is now ...... oh..... Sydney Harbour Bridge

Post subject:  re the rock... thought so

I havent been the area of the Marbles for about 40 years, my father and I travelled down from Darwin through the center and then somehow got accross to Perth.

In a FB ute I might add, now that was a trip, not many sealed roads back then. Even now I remember seeing the Marbles, I think there is some 8mm lying around from that trip.

It had everything, bats breaking windscreens and not found for a few weeks, phewwwwww. Split rims from hitting cattle grids when the grids were in the bottom of the trench, and the muddy bits, oh boy, marking a path by tying rags on trees for stretchs of about a kilometre or so to allow you to charge through. I think my Dad must have been a nut back then, but as a kid it was a real adventure.

Spent 3 weeks on a cattle station that had camels, north of the ROCK waiting for an engine mount (the rubber bit) that didnt come, before finally glueing it back together with areldite of all things, It worked and we got to Perth no problems.
