I wouldn't want to sacrifice load capacity for the sake of a couple of kilos, so I would want to keep the stronger drawer slides.

Installed the unit in the KJ today. Only takes about ten minutes, for one person. Here are the photos of the finished unit in place.

Mikey has the honours of the first production version! :D Thanks Mikey for your support.

Anyone else interested in having one made for them, or getting a copy of the plans, please PM me here at LOST and we'll take it offline from there.

Glen

I have finished the DIY Plan set and master templates. The plans can now be sent out to those that might want to build one.

The complete plan package contains: Full sized templates for every piece (19), working with epoxy tutorial, step by step construction plans, materials list and suggested suppliers (Aus), tools required list, and full set of construction photos. The LOST price is $75 AUD, and postage in Australia is included.

If your interested in gettting a set of plans just PM me here and I will send you the details.

On the production front, Unit #1 (Mikey's) is ready for final paint and if Sydney weather co-operates it will ship late this week. I will post up a photo of Mikey's colour scheme when the painting is complete. :)

After Mikey and I both had similiar problems with the indent locks holding the loaded drawers in place on slopes, I have decided to make the Lane Mini-bolt standard equipment on the KJ Storage Unit. Here is what it will look like, although there are other locking options for people that might want them hidden inside the side cubicles. Mikey your locks are being posted today.

Sorry Diggerfreek, but the KK has already been abandoned due to the spare wheel mechanism location.

Digger, rather than diverting this thread I've sent you a PM on the issues that I have found in trying to design a Unit for the KK.
