Man, every time I think the Belafonte is fixed, something else.

In for engine mount replacing, and they wouldnt fit, they have to grind them to get them in.

Front pinion seal was leaking.... Only had the DTT in for 4 months, and now, they have found a big groove in the Yoke, have a new (2nd hand ) one coming from Jeeepart.

Still have to do something about the new rear control arm bushes that died in 3 weeks of road use...

This is getting repeditive..

I know the feeling - its one of those years.... If it can go wrong it does, when you thing it might go right it goes really wrong and then just when you think nothing else can happen it does. Bad things used to come in three's, this year seems to be heading towards 30's with everyone I know. Role on next year

Cheer up Chris, you know that the Belafonte is a tough nut to crack. Minor surgery is nothing to an old warhorse like that.

They're probably just keeping him in overnight for "observation" - you know how cautious the hospitals are these days.

They are installing the transgo kit, and now auto doesnt work.. i found a post here (crd section ) where someone had a similar problem when installing the kit. One of the valves didnt actually come out of the valve bdy, and he installed the new valve and spring ontop of the old one.. (so otwo valves in there blocking the system. I think from what they said they said the car is doing they may have infact done the same mistake.

I'll call them thismorning and tell them its some thing to check for.

No Jeep. auto still doesnt work, they think it is the soleniod pack, funny I didnt ask them to touch the soleniod pack, and now it looks like I;ll be charged for a new one. Unable to ever know ifit was instalation error that damaged it, I bet I wont be told that. Wonder where I stand on this...

Hang in there - if there's one thing I've learnt about jeeps its that the worst bit is just before the best bit :D

But - if you are thinking of selling and want to do the stock thing - I've got a full set of stock suspension sitting in the shed gathering dust and a full set of stock rubber doing nothing under the house. Let me know if you want them, I only kept them to take mine back prior to selling but given the level of bush pinstripes on mine its just not worth it.

Cmohr rather than see you leave the Jeep family, have you considered a newer KJ - like this one:

http://www.carsales.com.au/all-cars/pri ... &silo=1011

Most of your mods could just be moved across. Or do you feel that the curse will surface again?

No good Glen, Cmohr really wants a diesel manual, not a petrol auto.

Anyway he can't sell the Belafonte until it's waorking properly, and when it is he won't want to sell it!

Just picked it up... It does go... But th eengine fault light that was fixed last Friday is now back on again, it happened on their test drive, I have to go back Tuesday.

Auto doesnt feel any different to normal... but, I have no idea if the transgo kit is in there or not... havent even piad a bill yet, because Craig has no idea what has been done, they need to go thru 6 days of work sheets and parts to see whats done.

Cath and I are off to Fraser in 1 week.

Feeling confident I am................. Might need a LOST rescue party to come and save us.
