I was surpised to see in Jeep Action that the Coffs Showground is the venue once again for Camp Coffs, but Yumpet had been talking it up on AJOR for awhile now. I emailed Michael B to ask about the rational for the decision to stay there and he had some good points about: shops nearby, restaurants, petrol stations, take aways, car wash, etc along with improved facilities for 2010 given they have much more time to get it ready. While personally I would prefer to be outside of town and away from the highway, there are others that see those things as a plus.

In part, Michael's confirmation of the Showground, has made my decision easier - as I can't do everything that is on the calendar for next year. I really want to go to the Jeep Jambo in Victoria, as well at least one of the LOST trips in discussion, and I have my SJC trips, Campertrailer Group Meets, etc.

I will probably have to give Camp Coffs a miss.

:(

I don't think we will be there in 2010 either, but that has nothing to do with the choice of site, just other family committments.

But I must say I preferred Nana Glen as a campsite - maybe the weather had something to do with it! The showgrounds may be completely different when the sun shines!

I won't be there next year either, already got other plans. Will be trying to get to Jambo, make a road trip holiday out of it, maybe check out some Vic High Country after on the way home.
