Post subject:  Opening up the KJ CRD Exhaust System
As many have done in the USA, I cut the restrictions out of my exhaust system over the past weekend. Installed a Magnaflow with 2 1/2" pipe thoughout. Great improvement.

I wasn't about to waste time trying to open up that stock ball flange, it went in the garbage. New flanges, high flow system and boy does it go.

No Cmohr, it is fairly quiet. I think that Eurekaboy clip must have been recorded with the mike at the exhaust pipe end. Hard to describe but I'll try: discrete rumble at idle, very clearly hear the turbo whine on acceleration. I haven't heard it from outside the car when it is being driven.
I'll try to find a way to do a sound clip, might stick the video camera out the back and blip it a few times, then put it on photobucket.

Phil Reid, a lurking new member here, just had a Magnaflow installed yesterday, and he has commented to me on how quiet it is (but noticed the increase in power/torque).
