Don't think we're doing anything that weekend, but Liz is working on the Monday. A Sat/Sun overnighter sounds good - have to check the diary when I get back to Bris tomorrow. Laingie, we can lend you a tent if you need one.

J.a.G. went to this site camping a couple of years ago and it was very good. South of Urbanville on Paddys Flat Rd. A week-end is the recommended min stay here. Generally go down friday or friday nite. It's about 2.5-3hr drive from Gold Coast. 1/2 hr of this is driving from the road to the cap site. Good river frontage camping sites (3), 1 with shower & toilet, 2 bush camps. A beautiful property with bush walks, canoes, Limited easy to moderate 4wd track/s I called this morning re- availabilities........... 1st week-end in Feb onwards at this stage are available. http://www.clarenceriver.com/contact.html Let me know you thoughts |

Yes, we'll be in Fri pm to Sunday. If we go to Landcruiser we can bring Max - any of the other sites allow pets? |

OK... I have looked at a tour in the "dirty Week-ends" book. Starting at Imbil (approx. 20km Nth of Kenilworth) and heading 93kms to Bruce Hwy (20km Nth Gympie). This is through Mary River valley area. There are 3 camp sites along the way (2 are Dog friendly - Amamoor Ck Camping Area & Glastonbury Ck Camping Area). This tour is rated at easy to difficult (depending on weather conditions) in that that are some steep ascent & descents which are recommended in low range. But OK for camper trailers. Any comments http://www.derm.qld.gov.au/parks/brooya ... mping_area http://www.derm.qld.gov.au/parks/amamoor/index.html |

| Post subject: | Re: SE QLD A'Day W/E RUN - Gympie Forest RUN |
Is there any interest in this Run If so I have found the easiest access to Imbil is to take the Bruce Hwy until the Eumundi exit, then Road to Kenilworth until you see the Imbil exit. J.a.G would be departing Friday AM (possibly Nobster as well) from Gold Coast & Returning Sunday PM. For those not able to depart until later we could meet up at the Amamoor Ck Camping Area or Cedar Creek Camping grounds (Max not permitted here) Camp fees are payable @ $5 pp per nite. online http://www.qld.gov.au/camping or per phone 24/7 131304 or Range office at Kenilworth Those that have expressed interest to date, please confirm:- Pipes - TBC Nobster - TBC Laingie - TBC J.a.G. Confirmed &
