The Belafonte got some new shoes Yesterday. I'll post up some pics later. Nice to have tread on the tyres, the slicks I was running didn't reall have much grip in the wet, actually they didn't have much grip in the dry

Nice Cmohr, hey I was wondering if you can swap the complete diff assembley between your KJ's. Shouldn't cost anything if you can,
just time. I would be happy to come down for a weekend to give you a hand.

Jas, from what I understand, yes, the whole front can just swap over, just need to use the different mounting brackets for the CRD that moves the diff off centre even more than the V6. Might take you up on that offer, thinking I may also swap over the lower control arms as well.

Going to get into these diff shortly as B1 has to go to pay for the kitchen reno. Will seek a price for getting rear diff centre swapped as well, as I really would like those DTT's in B2.

I think it might be more complicated. The axle shafts are different lengths (and part numbers) on the CRD, and the cradle seems to be different as well (I can see two different part numbers in the Parts fiche for the V6 and CRD cradle). Might want to check on that before you start.

Yeah, thats the bits I was on about Glen, from reading the diff housing itself is the same, so the brackets to the cradle are different between the models. I wiilll check it all out before starting as you say. and be obviously keeping the specific driveshafts in each Jeep.

Might be a chance for someboby to pick up a set of 4.10 gears.... :juggle:

No not for me mate, the TJ will become my main focus until the end of this year. Apart from a long list
of replacement parts for the KJ. I just need an excuse to get out of Bundy

Cmohr being that the rear of B1 already has fairly new bearings I wouldn't go replaceing them so maybe just
get mini kits with new shims and seals.
Also does B2 have a tone ring, if so check the mounting and connecter for the sensor. Measure the width of it
and check the brake backing plate bolt patern. I don't think there would be much difference in the housing so you be able to
swap the axles and brakes over instead. Just time and brake bleeding then.

Yeah, I had originally thought just that swap the whole thing but B2 has a drum brake rear end, and no ABS, B1 discs on the rear and ABS, so I have to swap out the centres. I think you may be right about the instal kits, will pop around to the diff place and check it all out with them.

Crikey Jas, its been an absolute roller coaster ride this past few weeks, managed to get a working kitchen, still have to do floors window frames, door handles ect, then I also managed to be "lucky" enough to get to go to work for 14hr days last week, because I'm just not working enough  , then this week the cat has developed a problem with the plumbing and has been in kitty hospital all week, should get him back Sunday maybe, but over $1000.00 dollar bill for the little bugger so he can piss on the carpet some more.

Still looking into the swapout, just need to get things more under control first. :juggle:

No worries mate, you sound like you have alot on. Sorry about your poor kitty, they (animals) become very expensive
they aren't well but still a pitence to the joy and companionship they bring. Maybe I should have offered to come and help
with the Kitchen, what sort of flooring are you putting in?

Yeah, world is just busy place for me at the moment. The little kitty is home, but still a little worse for wear.

Floating click together floor going in, was going to work on it over the weekend, but with the sick cat, best not to do more things to upset him. I have a certain pace I'm doing my renos at, and I can tell you, its not quick :dizzy: Thanks for the offer of help Jas, I do appreciate it. Pipes called over on Saturday, and told me aboot Deepwater camping, I'd love to just say Yes to going, but have to see what everybody else at work has already booked in the holidays dept.
