I have just spent a fantastic three days at the Upper Colo River campground and enjoyed the company of many NSW Campertrailer group people, including another SJC KJ CRD and some Jambo friends down from Newcastle in the highly modified XJ. The Colo River is about an hour west of Windsor in the Blue Mountains. A couple of other KJs in attendance, along with Grand CRD pulling a TVAN. Hot as, over 37C everyday but pleasant sitting in the Colo drinking cold Coronas. Had a brief run in with a green tree python that dropped into the river right in front of me. Nice cool nights, no light pollution from the city and the great Milky Way light show. Great spot for a future SJC weekend trip (ala the Cave to Cave Trip). Did a bit of wheeling on nearby Wheeney Creek track (primarily a firewood run, and gee that old lightening struck hardwood burns well).

The trip was my first real test of the GDE Eco Tune in my new ECU. Really impressed with being able to cruise along at 1600 rpm without all that downshift stuff going on. Excellent economy but I think I need to do a calculation because my eyes cannot believe the fuel gauge - 200+kms on a quarter of a tank while towing my camper.

Here are some photos of the area:

Glen thats where all the fuel goes, the constant slipping of the torque converter, just wasted revs and fuel. The box staying locked up would certainly use far less fuel.

I cant see any pics (here at work) I'll have another look when I gets home.

Looks like a great spot for a good weekend.
I spent my weekend preparing for Ului and then cleaning up the palm fronds and the next doors garden shed that found its way into my yard in many pieces.

Get any good garden tools out of it????

Heard it was bad, but at least now tooooooo bad. The way the media was carrying on, they sounded let down there wasnt more damage so as their reporters could look good get stories about peoples losses.
