It seems that JBA is asking the market for interest in a steel Dana 30. Here is what I received today from him:

"Do you want a steel front diff for your Jeep Liberty?

Dana 30 steel housing retrofit for the KJ Benefits

Replace aluminum with steel
Lower gears 4:56 or 4:88
Bigger tires
Bigger lift kits
Better ride than a SFA

Yeah got that email too, seems like something that should have been done years ago. The price compared with a new diff here in Oz is good, if you had to buy the whole thing new that is. Only time will tell if its a goer or not. I dont know if Id be lashing out for one cold, but, if it was available and I broke mine, It would certainly be the only choice in replacement.
