I have been asked to try and locate an Australian 2005 or later, KJ CRD manual whose owner might wish to get involved with GDE ECO tune development for that version/configuration.

If that is you please PM me here (or on AJOR) and I will give you further details.

This is not marketing spam and I do not make anything out of this. I am just facilitating a 'search'.

Interest registered. What does this involve? Cost?

Chris Pm has been sent.

Ainyone interested should read through the information on the GDE website first to get a general idea. I can supply my experiences with the ECO tune.

http://www.greendieselengineering.com/g ... ethod=home

Everyone will want to know how it compares to a stock CRD, so here are the figures from GDE:

Production Eco Tune HOT Tune Turbo Kit
160 hp 188 hp 200 hp 218 hp
300 ft*lb 335 ft*lb 364 ft*lb 400 ft*lb
406nm 454nm 493nm 542nm

Note that Torque Converter Upgrades are suggested for HOT Tune and Turbo Upgrade Kit (that would be the Euro TC).

Note that the Turbo Upgrade kit has just been released in the US but I have no information on that - other than what is on the website or on LOST in the CRD Section.

darn I could give you interest in a 2003 CRD but seeing that they never got that model in the US it doesn't look good. I guess you can't really ask a company to do things for models that weren't even in their country.

I believe the problem with pre-2005 is that their initial development was done on the 2005 ECU and thus the features of that year onward like the variable vane turbo, injection system mgt, and bus changes in the later years may mean incompatibilties with earlier years. I will ask about the possibilities of tunes for earlier years.

James, Just give me a ring and I will go over all the details with you. I run the ECO tune, forgot to mention it at the meeting.
