Guys can you have a look at my post in the CRD section concerning a potential issue I found while doing my pre-Desert Trip inspection. I recalled that someone on AJOR (maybe Loric) mentioned that he had a rear brake hardline failure on a trip - so this is why I inspected it (the intent was to see where I could put in some stress relief on the line) and I didn't expect to find it wearing through. :banghead:

Hi glen
On Our trip around the Simpson last year I experienced rear brake line leak near the T-junction. On inspection it was a fine fracture in the line just near where the line flares into the T-junction. Hard it (the line)replaced in Alice ($170). Vibration was the cause Diagnosis.

Thanks Greg, that's why I was looking at it. I was trying to work out how to put a dampener in place on the bridge section of the hardline (using a pencil eraser of all things) when I saw the rubbed spot.

Hi Glen,
The pencil eraser is a good idea, another would be a gromet... perhaps clarke rubber would be a good starting point.
