Any NSW based Jeep people should be aware that Menai (on Sydney's southwestern outskirts) has been officially closed to vehicles and all gates have had the locks changed. The NSW Police confirmed to the Sydney Jeep Club that anyone accessing the area would be subject to criminal charges: trespass, etc. The land owners have sold it off for housing and development work is starting.

Jenko will have fond memories of this place as it is where he did his midnight recovery of a rolled ZJ and broke his front diff and had to be dragged out on the end of strap.

This was the last area in close proximity to Sydney but it was always going to be hard to keep open for 4WDing, and the government wanted it to expand the pool of land available for housing.
