At this stage guys i'm going to pull out of going,just in case i'm not back from my trip to the centre, or something goes wrong.

I am definitely out for Deepwater, because as part of my settlement I am going to be moving house soon (before Christmas) and need to actually get out there and find a new property; this is going to be taking up alot of my time in the coming weeks and months. Likewise with the mentioned NSW and ACT Gathering for late spring, I will need to pass the organisation of that off to someone else (although I still hope to be able to attend that one).

Won't be able to make the 5/6 November as have a wedding to attend that weekend. Have a great trip. Mabye next time I'll be able to join in.

It's not looking good for us either as 'J' may have "days off" issues :roll:

OK, so at present it looks like the only definites are:

Pipes
2Jeeps
The Muds

JaG is a maybe (c'mon J, take a sickie! or two!)
Cmohr hasn't responded yet - where are you Chris?
Silverkee and Nobster are definitely out.

6 sites have been booked and must be paid for, so anyone else who wants a peaceful weekend camping among the trees and near the beach will be welcome.

Fouros, you missed the last one - any chance you guys can join us? Long time no see.

The Muds are going to have to pull out of this one now unfortunatly, sorry 'bout that. Need to be in Mackay that weekend.

We have a 4 day weekend arranged, so now that RandI can't come should we maybe discuss a change of venue so that it is
easier for others to reach for a weekend trip? We are going to go somewhere for 4 days, it would nice to be with in 3 hours drive
for Nash. Can we cancel the bookings? has it been paid for yet?

RandI made all the bookings, so we'd have to check with them whether full payment has been made - but since it is now down to we and thee, 2Jeeps, a change of venue could be on the cards.

Our problem is that we can only manage Fri- Sunday.............so if the venue is closer maybe we can manage it..... as Jason says a max. 3 hr trip (e.g. Cedar Grove, Kenilworth State forest etc).. We need to reimbused RandI if a full refund can not be issued to them.

A reimbursment is not necessary, although they do not do refunds I can get credits for the bookings to be used some other time, all's good.

There's the caravan park at Imbil,suggested by Liz because

Reasonably located between Bris and Bundy
They allow camp fires
We can bring Max
Good access to Kenilworth etc.
Bring canoes as the river borders the site

Anyone interested?

Time to bring this up again, 2 weeks and counting.
We need to finalise the location and who is coming.
Destination (dog friendly options with in 2-3 hours North of Brisbane also must be water/swimming)
- Amamoor Creek, Amamoor State Forest
- Glastonbury Creek, Brooyar State Forest
- Flinders and Main Beach, Straddie
- Imbil Caravan Park
these are the only options I can find, so who's coming as we will need to book sometime next week.

Rang the campsite today - plenty of room for unpowered sites, no big groups booked that weekend, no need to pre-book.

Looks like I will be on the road most of the weekend now, doing a quick trip to Brissy Friday, load up the daughters stuff and return maybe sat arvo.

Take care on that hwy Ross........ JaG is uncertain about attending this week-end as J is quite sick with the Flu.......

Well here we are sitting round the camp fire at Imbil having just had tea - 2Jeeps (all 3 of them), JaG and the Pipes. If anyone wants to meet up Sat or Sun, give us a call or post on here.
